How this speed test works
1
Ping test
We send 5 requests to our server and measure the round-trip time. The median result is your ping in milliseconds (ms). Under 20 ms is excellent for gaming and video calls.
2
Download test
Your browser downloads 10 MB of data from our server. We measure how quickly it arrives to calculate your download speed in Mbps. This is the speed most people care about.
3
Upload test
Your browser sends 5 MB of data to our server. Upload speed matters for video calls, cloud backups, and working from home. Full-fibre gives symmetrical upload and download.
